THE DETAILS
Thursday, November 12, 2009, 6 to 9 p.m.
Chicago Architecture Foundation
224 South Michigan Avenue
Tickets online (http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/85349)

* The party, in the spectacular (historic) atrium of the Chicago Architectural Foundation, will literally surround the 320-square-foot, 3D replica of Chicago, “Chicago Model City.”

* Haute hors d’oeuvres by award-winning Executive Chef JP Nettles, who trained at Le Cordon Bleu and worked at Charlie Trotter.

* A silent auction, which will give guests the opportunity to bid on original art by prominent artists and other valuable items, like an overnight stay at a luxe hotel.

* An exhibition of the work produced pro-bono by EPIC teams for seven Chicago nonprofits.

* An irony-soaked high-school theme, with fund-raising activities that, say, a cheer squad or debate team would have done in high school (Think: Bake sale, a people’s choice award [in lieu of a homecoming king/queen], carnation swap [red for serious admiration, pink for friendship, etc.], a raffle with a twist, and so on.)

Already, EPIC has built an authentic, socially conscious community for creative professionals in Chicago and beyond. And members of that community join in EPIC’s mission to affect real change in the world.

Here are some of the nonprofits they’ve helped:
CASA, a nonprofit that services Chicago’s foster children in the court system.
Heart health organization 2 BigHearts
Project Kindle, a camp for children infected with HIV/AIDS.
PLUS: Organic School Project, Literacy Chicago, Barrel of Monkeys (children’s theater), Girls in the Game.

See you at the party! Check out iamepic.org for more details!
