It's easier to sell everything than it is to move it.
As a new member, I figured I would take a moment and introduce myself in a blog entry before jumping straight into things. After living in different parts of the country for the past few years, living in some of the most beautiful scenic areas in the country: Flagstaff, Arizona and Ithaca, NY for example, my wife and I decided it was about time to move back to the city we love; Chicago. It's great to be back here, in a city so full of life, and great food—can you believe outside of Chicago they have no idea what an Italian Beef is? It's a tragedy! Though, I am extremely excited that I am finally near an AIGA chapter that is so active and full of vibrant, talented and friendly people.
Last week was my first opportunity to get to know some of you in AIGA Chicago at the Annual Members Meeting at MCA. Not only was it an amazing venue to hold the meeting, (anyone else notice how huge those Koi downstairs were?) but everything else about it was fantastic. I got to meet a few people, but not as many as I would have liked—which would probably have been everyone. So I guess I will just have to keep attending the different functions and volunteering until I can remember everyone by name.
So with that, I hope that I get to see everyone around in the future.
