Art for Haiti Benefit
Come out for an evening of art, music, food and charity at the Art for Haiti Benefit on September 9 at the Zhou B Art Center.
Art for Haiti was started by a group of philanthropic artists and medical doctors committed to helping improve living conditions in undeserved communities around the world. We as artists support medical teams that travel to the impoverished countries to assist with the basics that people need to survive.
To raise funds, Art for Haiti accompany the teams to the affected areas. What they see and feel is expressed in diverse art forms that celebrate the vibrant and resilient human spirit. The artwork is auctioned at different events. All proceeds are then used toward health care, medical supplies and student scholarships.
For this benefit Art for Haiti partnered up with The Global Health Program at Rush and the artist Marek Hosek to raise money for their mission and continue to raise awareness to the wonderful country of Haiti.
