Tools of the Trade II

EMMA EMAIL MARKETING, The School of the Art Institute, Chicago

Event description

AIGA Chicago and Emma E-mail Marketing have teamed up to bring you E-mail by Design, a casual discussion among creative professionals about how to design and implement successful e-mail campaigns for yourself and your clients.

The evening will be a casual, open discussion of the latest e-mail trends, tips and tools, including samples of good (and not so good) e-mail design. This interactive session will be moderated by Annie Kinnaird, director of business development for Emma E-mail Marketing, who will share industry best practices, explain how e-mail tracking works and what the numbers really mean, and answer all the e-mail-related questions you can dream up.

Learn how agencies and designers are incorporating e-mail into their service offering, and hear from your peers about their own experiences with e-mail marketing.

Event summary

"For every dollar spent on e-mail marketing in 2007, marketers can expect an estimated $48.29 ROI." (The Direct Marketing Association, 2007)

The second Tools of the Trade was held on Thursday, August 23rd at the School of the Art Institute. The topic was "E-mail by Design," with a presentation and discussion led by Annie Kinnaird, director of business development at Emma E-mail Marketing.

Although recognized as only a supplement to Web and print, e-mail marketing is increasing in its potency as a marketing tool…when used correctly. The workshop discussed good and bad practices, tips, and tools of e-mail marketing execution and how to ultimately get the most out of a campaign.

Miss Kinnaird did an admirable job of responding to a sold-out crowd with very diverse levels of knowledge. For more information on Emma, visit www.emmaemailmarketing.com.
