Paid focus group for design firms – Chicago

Alphabuzz, an independent market research company, is looking for several respondents in small Design businesses to participate in a focus group. This is a unique creative roundtable discussion about office space and furniture targeted to small business needs for those in the design industry.

The sessions will take place in downtown Chicago on 9/22, 9/23 or 9/24. You have your choice of either a 9:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. session.

Buckminster Fuller: Starting with the Universe

Friday, March 13, 2009, 6-9 pm

$40 per person, $35 for MCA Members Children 12 and under are free

Join the MCA for a night of revelry and celebration. They are opening the museum's doors for a three-floor fundraising event in honor of our new spring exhibition, Buckminster Fuller: Starting with the Universe. Proceeds from this event directly support the programs of the MCA.

Tickets include food, two complimentary beverages, and live entertainment in addition to museum admission.

Kartemquin Films is hosting some fun and casual events to raise completion funds for the film Typeface.

"Typeface focuses on a rural Midwestern museum and print shop where international artists meet retired craftsmen and together navigate the convergence of modern design and traditional technique."

Friday, September 26 will consist of a benefit with live music, drinks, appetizers, and clips from the film.
Thursday, October 16 you can join Kartemquin for a small, intimate event featuring art from various artists in the film along with clips from the work in progress.

Lemon Magazine Survey

Colorful pop annual Lemon magazine is offering a free one-year subscription to the first 300 respondents to a brief online reader survey. The subscription will include two collectible issues: the Kubrick-themed Lemon 3, “A Clockwork Lemon”, and the hotly anticipated Bowie-themed Lemon 4, “Heroes” (out October 13).
